There are two ways of recording your message for transmission by telephone.
-
The first, and preferable, method is to record directly to your computer and then send the message to us as a WAV file. Ideally you should have your message professionally recorded by someone who has an excellent speaking voice and who can capture the mood and essence of what you want to say. Most professionals are not very expensive since in general you’ll be sending out a 30-60 second message, and providing the script you want them to read. The increased response rates will more than justify their nominal fee very quickly. To find a list of suitable professionals we suggest you go to the
Reader Ads section where you will find a number of professional voice specialists listed, together with note of their areas of expertise.
-
If on the other hand you are simply making an occasional call to your customers to tell them of a new offer you have or an upcoming sale, and you are comfortable with the clarity of your own voice, then you are free to use our dial-up service to record your message. We will give you a London phone number to dial and you simply call in, record your message, listen to it – and then submit if happy or re-record until such time as you get it right. This is a free service. However, if your outgoing phone message is a ‘sales’ message and you want to get people pressing ‘1’ on their dialpad to go through to your call centre then we strongly advise that you get the message professionally recorded.
